Walking Your Path Sunday, April 20th, 2008 8am - 5pm Rosemary Beach, Florida
| | | | Along the path of finding fulfillment within our life, all of us face many obstacles. Walking Your Path is a day-long gathering designed to uncover the causes of these obstacles so your path can be more easily followed. One Hand Clapping with sponsorship from Bud and Alley’s Restaurant, SoWal.com, Summer Kitchen Cafe and DeGregorio Design has assembled a remarkable lineup of educators to offer this guidance, including nationally renowned speaker Don Daniels. The gathering will be held at the picturesque town of Rosemary Beach in Walton County, Florida, on Sunday, April 20th, 2008, from 8am-5pm. You will be led through the gathering in a casual, light hearted-environment, so do not let a lack of experience with Yoga philosophy or meditation stop you from attending. The day will provide a very practical understanding of: - The main obstacles along your path
- How to lessen the impact of these obstacles
- The role your actions, mind and goals play in walking your path
The gathering will be led by nationally recognized speaker Don Daniels and Phillip Ellis, owner of One Hand Clapping. An organic, vegetarian breakfast and lunch will be provided by Summer Kitchen Cafe. Enjoy the soothing benefits of a labyrinth etched in the sand with local enthusiast, Anita Howard. Accomplished yoga instructor, Carolyn Reynolds, will awaken your energy through a gentle Hatha Yoga session. This incredible day will then come to a close as we enjoy one of the area’s famous sunsets. The purpose of One Hand Clapping is to connect those who seek a clearer idea of their inner self with sincere educators who offer this guidance. The gatherings are intended to unite this growing community in the Panhandle by furnishing a forum for educators to reach a larger audience. More importantly, these gatherings allow you an opportunity to meet a variety of teachers within this community and to decide which one is most suitable for your journey of personal growth. Phillip has long held an innate passion for working with people to inspire activism in creating a better community. This passion originally led him to work in the environmental field with an education in Marine Biology. During his professional career as an integral part of a local non-profit organization he witnessed, firsthand, the importance of impacting peoples' lives through community outreach and development. Recently, through his discovery of Yoga philosophy Phillip has refocused his talents for educating the public on difficult issues and facilitating community development in a new direction. Over the past few years he has intensely devoted himself to studying one of the oldest yogic lineages under Dandi Swami Jnaneshvara Bharati who is renowned for his deep, experiential understanding of this Himalayan Tradition. Phillip has dedicated himself to learning and practicing these teachings which he believes can empower individuals with the knowledge inherent in themselves to profoundly impact their lives, their families and the community. | | More about Don Daniels

Anita recently joined our community from the hustle and bustle of Washington D.C. to live near the beautiful waters of the Gulf Coast. She has a passion for the environment, conservation of our natural resources and has been a wildlife patron and protector for many years. She currently volunteers with the Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge in Destin, Florida which is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and release of orphaned and injured wildlife (www.ecwildliferefuge.com). Her interest in the healing arts is being cultivated in her new home in South Walton where she studies with Sarah Gibson, Transformational Healer and Reiki Master. Anita is happy to lead a peaceful labyrinth walk that was introduced to her by Anne Hornstein, Certified Instructor with Brain Gym International (www.braingym.org ). She considers both Sarah and Anne dear friends, insightful teachers and true sources of inspiration. Labyrinth Walk Labyrinths have been around for over 4000 years and are found throughout the world. Like Stonehenge and the pyramids, they are fascinating geometric forms that define a special space. They are often walked for the purpose of reflection, meditation and relaxation. Labyrinths are found in many sizes and shapes and are often made out of natural materials. Ours will be etched in the sand next to the sea. It has only one path that leads to the center and out again, so unlike a maze, there are no tricks to it and no dead ends. Participants are encouraged to slowly stroll the labyrinth while soaking in the serenity of their surroundings. | Thanks to our sponsors!
